Need to understand the leasing and Renting process in SAP MM. My client is a provider of large tankers for material storage and Handling Equipment (lifting cranes) for it's handling, on lease basis to their customers.
Since I'm new to this , I need to understand the leasing process for International and domestic customers in SAP MM.
E.g.
1. How requirement gets generated by customers i.e. Do customer raise a PO ? If Yes, what type of PO will be raised ? Can service PO will be raised in this case?
2. In case of long term requirement, do we need to create contract with customer?
3. How to issue These tanks and Handling Equipment to the customer from own stock? Will it be done against the raised PO/ Contract? what transactions and Movt types are involved in this case?
4. After finishing the requirement, how customer will notify to my client to take the Equipment back ?
5. What is the process to take the provided Equipment and Tankers back, from customer's site to own warehouse?
6. In case of international transactions, what all factors will come into picture?
Please provide the steps by step transaction details and required configurations in this process.
